Description
Just right of the bulging black south face of the base of Trapper Dome is a right trending ramp. Step up on the ramp to access crimps in the crease below a flake feature near the top of the wall. Once established on the face, work up a series of three left trending ramps while meandering left and right to connect features on the face. Ramps, incut edges, sidepulls, crimps, flakes, and an undercling lead to the aforementioned flake feature. Work up the flake or "walk the plank" to a final mantle to the anchor at the top. Deservedly popular due to the moderate grade, excellent protection, fun movement, and short approach, Zyzzyx received 33 TR ascents and 4 leads in its first 24 hrs.
