Description

Sit start on right side of Dangboy Boulder on a deep pocket and jug. Move up to a good edge, then bump over to the big pocket. Move up on pockets to a great ledge and top out in a tricky position.

Location

Right side of the face of Dang Boy Boulder, which is the big, clean-faced boulder about 20 feet from the left side of the Global Village trail. A large fallen tree rests along the face.

EDIT: It isn't even the "First Recorded Ascent" (whatever that is) -- a guidebook was published in the 1990s. If you don't know the FA info, just leave it blank. Oct 21, 2015

I tried to get my hands on the old guidebook but couldn't find any info. If you have info on the actual names of this boulder and the routes, let me know and I'll update. Oct 22, 2015

[Hide Comment] Howdy Alex and Dustin. As an admin for the RRG area here on MP, I changed Alex's initial FA information to "First Recorded Ascent (FRA)" until it could get sorted out. [Hide Comment] Almost everything V5 and under at Emerald has been climbed. And even when my climbing partner and I were cleaning and climbing here and thought we were the only ones we would find evidence of other boulderers. This boulder always had chalk on it between '99 and about '01.

I have an extensive guide to what we knew had been climbed but just have never had the time to put it all on here. Jan 1, 2016
