Apodidae Arete

5.10a, Trad, Alpine, 45 ft (14 m),  Avg: 2 from 2 votes
FA: Trevor Bowman & Roy Suggett
Utah > S Central Utah > Jungle, on the… > Flying Raptor's Area

Description

A very fun start on the face left of the arete. Clip the only bolt and move right to the arete. Here you can place gear in the crack as you climb up the arete to the anchor. Fun moves!

Location

Head down the fixed line from the edge but just to the last "U" bolt. Here you leave the rope and head across the talus SW a short distance to a small rise. Take the easy line down and SW before cutting back to the wall and the obvious spire. Edge to spire about 3 min.s

Protection

One QD and the rest of the line is easy placements of BD .4 & a .75.

[Hide Comment] The start has some great moves up a clean face, the rest follows good crack and blocky face holds. It is still a bit grungy. Aug 25, 2015
