Description Suggest change

Jim Jam Junior is an enjoyable offwidth climb. Start up the shallow, left-facing corner just left of Joke. Getting established in the wide crack above is the crux. Once you're in, rinse and repeat to the top.

Location Suggest change

This route is in the Jim Jam area on the upper east side of The Nautilus. One way of accessing it is by walking west along the cliff from Friday's Recess and then finding a 3rd and 4th class scramble leading upward. There were old logs at the start of the scramble as of July 2014, making the initial chimney easy to locate and overcome.

Protection Suggest change

#5 and #6 Camalots work here; don't bother bringing anything smaller. One #5 and one #6 sew it up. A pair of #6s would be slightly better if you've got them.

It is possible to rappel from the anchors atop Jim Jam.
