[Hide Comment] There used to be a huge 2 foot by 2 foot jug plate on the overhang for your hands at sitting level to start with the left hand on. It was a jug and was used as a sidepull. The large chunk of rock was pried off with a crowbar "for safety", once again, around 2003. I had been trying it prior to the removal and it made the start easier. The huge scar is obvious, and left a smaller but still okay sidepull. The plate was also used to start the 45 Degree Arete and the 45 Degree Wall Left and made these problem a bit easier also. I knew the integrity of the plate well, and it should never had been removed. The chances of it actually breaking were very low, considering how it was pulled on and the fact that your butt is only six inches off the ground at this point. The original 45 Degree Wall Sit was probably V7 and the 45 Degree Arete V8 and the 45 Degree Wall Left V7 when they were first done with this hold intact. Jan 7, 2014
