Dark Water

5.10b, Trad, 70 ft (21 m),  Avg: 3 from 4 votes
FA: Paul Chaisson
International > N America > Canada > Newfoundland &… > Newfoundland > Avalon Peninsula > Flatrock > Main Face

Description

Climb the face using the thin crack and small holds around it. The climbing is very sustained at the grade with small, fiddly gear and the route is almost always wet but worth the wait.

Protection

Standard rack, emphasis on smaller gear.

[Hide Comment] Small gear = RP's, ballnuts, maybe an offset cam. I would call it PG13 because the pro is sometimes not rated for a lead fall and the stances are strenuous. I would not recommend trying to onsight this Aug 2, 2016

[Hide Comment] Would not recommend trying to onsight. Gear placements can be obscure and stances strenuous. Fun route if you've got your head in the game. Jul 29, 2018
