[Hide Comment] Wow - what can I say. Renaming a climb from the 1940s. So woke. Carderock has very little to offer - a slimy, slabby area next to a smelly river. What it did have to offer was history...but not anymore. May 24, 2021

[Hide Comment] It is irritating that the names of the excellent sketches for this route do not match the ('new'?) name as it appears in the title. This must be confusing. How about suggesting a new name rather than making one up, particularly as unless I'm mistaken it generally falls to the original party to do such things, even where that is somewhat lost in time? [Hide Comment] For the record, I didn't rename this (not fighting for the old name, just wouldn't add a new one). Mountain Project policy is that FA can rename the route, so it seems like someone claimed it. I'll add the FA if known. Dec 1, 2021

[Hide Comment] Based on the Youtube beta video and the route being first entered in MP as Cripple's Crack, it seems the name is not Pincushion. Unsure why it was revised in 2021. Returned the route name to the original. If further information is known on the oldest known name for the route please post your information and source. Jul 26, 2023
