Access Issue: Do Not Climb On or Around Rock Shelters and Pictographs Details

17th century rock shelters and pictographs exist in this area. Climbers must be mindful of these cultural resources and avoid climbing on or around them. In June 2024 it was discovered that two new routes had been bolted in or near these resources next to the Roof Wall. The routes will be removed per the forest service.

Description

Climb through a few awkward side-pulls to easier terrain. The route trends left through the bottom and then straight up on easier holds. The bottom should clean up with traffic, but there isn't much of that at New Canyon.
