[Hide Comment] The namesake "Tilted Tree" Tulip Poplar seems like it is about to go any day. It's got a massive spiral fracture, and a bunch of decay. It was making all kinds of noises when we were there, (11/3/2019), and we elected to move to a different area. Nov 4, 2019
[Hide Comment] Hoping to get some beta on this problem. I've hopped on it across 2 or 3 different sessions and haven't had much luck. I've seen videos/descriptions of using a heel and mono on the left side of the arete but not sure if that's on or if there's another way of doing it. Sep 30, 2023

[Hide Comment] I think the idea is that it’s ok to use left hand and footholds on the left side of the arête, but your center of mass should stay on the right side. (I usually try to eliminate too many holds on the left and make it too hard for myself.) Be mindful of the widowmaker log on the right. That thing is several hundred pounds of lumber supported by a tiny strip of bark. Oct 5, 2023
