Description
A nice area for soloing, leading or toproping. Usually a variety from WI3 cruiser to WI4 pillars depending on conditions. A good spot to bring the kids to feed the bunnies. A neat cave behind the ice to explore.
Location
The routes lie 100' below the road. Park and approach down slope to the north. It is a five minute approach from road. Beware of rabid bunnies on the descent.
Per Seth Kotelnicki : follow CR 501 around Vallecito Lake to CR 501G/Middle Mountain Rd., and make a left. Drive 4.5 miles to parking area near a gate (this is a big ATV/snowmobile parking area). You will then hike 0.35 miles up the road to South Bear Creek, where you will see the drainage and the falls 100 feet below the road way. If the gate is not closed, you can drive the 4.85 miles, and park just above the falls.
