If you're going to climb Dr. Michael Solar, you might as well do this too as it's right next to it. It's a short route, but gear placements are fairly abundant, and it has some nice layback moves with hands in cracks and jugs to either side. Nothing terribly exciting, but if you're new to leading and just did the route to the left, take two steps to climber's right, and try it. Apr 5, 2015

[Hide Comment] Agree that if you're here, you might as well do all 4 of these, and they stay reasonably shady in the afternoon because of some large trees nearby. Aug 21, 2019

[Hide Comment] This route is fun, well worth doing. The belay perch is terrific and has a view that extends out to the divide.

I would not recommend it for new trad leaders. It's steep and a bit pumpy for the grade, and the gear is a little tricky for a beginner. It takes small nuts or red/green C3s at the crux. Mar 7, 2020

[Hide Comment] I got sucked out right to all the chalked up jugs, easy climbing but no pro that way so... don't do what I did if you don't want to risk cratering from the top 3rd of the climb. Dec 13, 2021
