Description
You find out where the "stem" in Stem Christie comes from at the final (crux) moves. This thing is interesting and fun.
Location
On the [West] (per Sarah Meiser) side of Scull Rock, about midway up the formation, you see a bulge with a short, wide splitter running on its right (Clean and Jerk), with a detached looking bulge to the right of that. To the right of the widecrack/chimney, you see the inside double cracks that make up Stem Christie.
Protection
A standard short rack. A #4 and/or #3 BD protects the crux. Scramble up and around to the anchors for Scull. A 60m rope reaches the ground.
