Access Issue: Climbing Regulations/Seasonal Raptor Closures Details

The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description

This route goes up the left edge of the buttress with Castles Burning. It has 6 or 7 bolts to a 2 bolt anchor.

Location

Right side of Feudal Wall, and starts up aways on the cliff.

Protection

Mostly QDs for bolts. Maybe a piece here or there (probably small) to supplement the bolts.

No, I think the route is crappy in it's own way. The missing anchors is another issue... It was a waste of valuable climbing time on a nice day in the park. May 30, 2013
