Description

This line is much like Fleet Street (v3) but a little cleaner and less spooky... I cleaned out a few stubborn chock stones to make the OW work... It may have been climbed before as it was cleaner than the rest of the rock (but not clean by a long shot) but never the way it goes now since i removed the stones from the crack...

I think more people will like this than Fleet Street... Give it a try...

There are, im sure, many ways to do it but i went with the same beta as Fleet Street For the most part with a few changes... I start laying back the off width with feet on the wall in front of me (you dont get to start laying down on this one), then stuff my legs in the crack and make a few moves to the right... Gain a crimp with the right hand and move your legs to get a knee bar... You can lean out left and work the knee bar up till you are able to stand in the corner... Up the corner above to the top (Same top as Pirelli's Purse (v1+)...

Location

to the left of Fleet Street look for a clean Off Width roof...

Protection

pad and spotter

[Hide Comment] not really... it actually finishes on the boulder you can step on to if you decide to bail on the crux of fresh supplies... Nov 19, 2008

[Hide Comment] I went and checked this thing out today. And it was awesome! Never climbed a problem of this style before, but v3 seems about right. Nice work Lee! Nov 4, 2012

[Hide Comment] Lee, I checked out fleet street, the crack seemed so low to the ground, I had trouble making it work, maybe I'll have to go give it another look. Nov 24, 2012

[Hide Comment] yeah, i start that one on my back as far in as i can fit then just scoot right hanging by my heel toe locks... it is its own kind of route but i like it :)
its actually easier to start being so low cause you can get your legs in without pulling up... in this picture if you look where the pad is, i start on my back behind the pad where its really dark mountainproject.com/v/10625… Nov 24, 2012

[Hide Comment] Grateful you cleaned this out, Lee! Slithering up the crack feels just right (and more interesting than the slab to the left). Jul 7, 2019

[Hide Comment] We had no issue starting this lying down from the shelf in the back of the cave. A thin slider pad is nice for this Oct 3, 2021
