Description

A quality crack for sunny days as it's shaded by the trees. The crux is the OW top half. This pumpy route is definitely worth the effort to find.

Location

Follow the loop trail NE along Sandy Creek to the crossing which heads between Buzzards Roost and Freshman Mt. Go NW and look for a cliff band hidden in the trees. Mirage crack is the tallest route on Mirage Wall, right of a large leaning tree.

Protection

Trad rack - med. to large pieces for OW. Rap Anchor to descend

[Hide Comment] Good route, but the start forces you to go up the base of a tree a bit. Kind of pumpy, but there are good jams all the way and the OW up top really doesn't require OW skills. For better or worse. Aug 10, 2014

[Hide Comment] Gear is Good on this if a bit finicky to place in the middle (crack opens up inside so you need to be mindful of your cams opening up). Wide Gear up top (#4s) Jan 20, 2015
