The two areas Jefferson County Open Space intends to close in Clear Creek Canyon, shown on the attached maps, encompass the active eagle nests. If the Clear Creek eagles continue to nest in the active nests, these areas will remain closed from February 1 through July 31. If the eagles choose different nesting sites, the closures will be adjusted accordingly to protect those eagles during their breeding season.

Stumbling Block
Tetanus Garden
Fault Caves

Description

Judgment Day is the climb on the arete just left of The Hanging Judge and The Great Escape.

Rarely done, but still packed with a few good moves. A steep and bouldery arete follows a few hard cruxes with good rests in between. A small roof guards the chains.

Added five cable permadraws to increase traffic on the route and alleviate some deck potential while clipping. Added a foot of chain and carabiners to the anchors, because the angle on the rope when lowering was potentially dangerous. 31JUL2022. Jul 31, 2022
