Description

This route starts on the east face of Hunk Rock and turns the left corner to finish up the unprotected south face. A serious fall could occur here after running it out past the first and only bolt on the route. If you're solid at the grade, there should be no problem as the bolt is placed at the crux of the route. The rock quality begins to degrade as you near the summit.

Protection

Bring a selection of cams to make a belay at the top and 1 full length QD for the 1 bolt on the route.

[Hide Comment] Well-protected at the crux, as noted, but after that you might as well untie as you are basically soloing. With a single bolt that serves more as a route marker this one would have better left as a TR or the benefit of a few more bolts IMO. Zero stars out of five. Feb 7, 2005

[Hide Comment] This does not deserve an "R" rating, but should have an "X" rating instead. Like Chris said, once you pass the bolt you might as well untie. What's worse is that the rock above gets WAY bad. Minus two stars. Apr 7, 2008
