Updated overview of the area. Approach starts at the parking pullout. Keep an eye out for cairns, at the start and along the whole trail. Boulder hop up a rocky spine until the trail takes you upwards and rightwards towards the noted walls.

While the trial requires more work and traffic, this area is particularly confusing. Avoid the uphill on loose terrain (original and initial path) and instead follow the cairns right ward to detour on more friendly terrain to the base of the Aqueducts.
The bulk of the Colosseum Area. The left skyline is where Golden Wall is. The other walls and buttresses will eventually have names. Red shows approach trail to routes right of center. From it you can bushwhack to everything at the left end as well.
