Covid protocols ongoing, now plus smokey air from state-wide wildfires (none nearby). Better air today. AQI of 50 in morning, steadily up to 62 by mid-day, despite look of typical nice Malibu beach day. Still, much better than inland areas.

The first bolt on the South face right side route(5.10b). It obviously is not very strong so I would not recommend leading that route

17MAY2015 There were some climbers there hogging up all the anchor bolts so two hours later I finally roped up on the other side of the cliff from a boulder and went. Was a little sketchy. I do not reccmmend it. But it's done. Endex.

Locals get to park at the best spot inside the VIP area cordoned off by orange cones. All others have to park farther away, with the riffraff. Just the way it is.

One more shot of a lead bolt at Point Dume: as visible in this photo, most of the mass of the buttonhead has been eliminated by corrosion. There is very little material actually holding the hanger to the wall.

There are a couple boulders in the area that you can climb, though the routes are pretty short and easy.
