Dark Star, July 3, 2004. Did not do the route due to a broken crampon, but it was in prime shape.
Russell climbing up the second pitch in thin, mid-May conditions (2024). There is no ice to be found, but stellar mixed climbing abounds.
Hi Mike, Pretty good pic of Dark Star (Dumais guide called it Right Side Chimney). To the right on the edge of the shadow there are a series of flakes, ledges & corners that break into the sunlight. I believe that is the route Culp & Duncan did. Unnamed & probably unrepeated.
