Estrellita (Little Star) climbs 2 short pitches up to the ridge, then up the right side of the ridge forming the vertical horizon with 2 palms. The upper palm is the upper belay. This was such a beautiful route! There are 2 variations at pitch #3 5.11b and #4 5.11a which are incredibly fun, or you can stick to the 5.8 variation for a smooth easy yet enjoyable line. Definitely a must!

Summit Register

Sunrise from the top of Estrellita.

Descent. Tried to map approximate locations of the rap stations after I misjudged and passed the 2nd rappel station and did shenanigans to avoid fatal demise. Though the description says 5 long rappels,R1 to R2 to R3 are not that long.

Rappel beta: do NOT rappel into the gully separating Estrellas from Los Lobos. When you get to the bottom of the rap with the palm growing out of the wall, look rappeller's left and you'll see another set of anchors. Go there, NOT down the gully.

This is the side of the rock fin that Estrellita is on.

Pitch 4 traverse around 11:00 AM in December. Recommend starting out earlier; we rapped in the dark.

Rappel route. I love palm trees in the middle of steep walls!
