This is the new third rappel anchor station. It was placed on 4/18/19. This picture looks west, Heart Rock is behind the photographer.

Right after the steep section the angle eases considerably. From there just skip the intermediate anchors and gun it to the summit.

a look at the 3rd pitch

First rappell station. It might seem natural to rappell straight down, but you must follow the crack on the left side of you to prevent a terrible traverse. A 70m will reach to the ground from the second station.

About half-way up Pitch 3. A nice comfortable cobble to rest your feet on, and then nothing else below you for 200 feet!

A little bit traffic on P2 on the day of the annular solar eclipse on Oct 14, 2023

Lowering off the nose of the climb. I think the bolts for this rap have since been removed and a new rap route has been developed.

A new variation for P2? I saw this yesterday (7/14/20) and initially laughed at what seemed to be a lame gesture to help someone find bolts, but the line led to anchors that are right of the standard P2 anchors.
