Drive equipment removed. The mounting location is bottom left obscured by a couple of hoses. The blue gearbox is connected to the bullwheel with the drive shaft on the right leaning on even more equipment removed. It can be a challenge to move this stuff around the drive shaft alone is in the range of 1500 lbs and about 5' x 10".

These towers boast spacious and accommodating walkways!
The re-inspected clip the the rope tensioned on it and chair attached. Now run in another chair holding the monster de-tensioner in place on rollers. As with much of ski lift maintenance it is very redundant.

The new location has a core that must be removed. This particular rope is older and like many others of that age it has a hemp braided core.

The hollow shaft assembly, now cold, will be placed back in the center. It has a bearing on the bottom and top with spacer sleeves inbetween. The bullwheel still needs to be split for install and removal purposes.
