The Aiguille du Grepon (pointy spire 2nd from left), the Dru (twin-summitted spire at center), and Aiguille Verte (pyramid summit on the right) rising above the Mer de Glace. The classic Bonatti Pillar climbs the left skyline of the Dru.

The spectacular Grand Capucin. A perfect 1500' granite face in the Vallee Blanc. In 1959 Bill Aughton and I climbed the Bonatti route with one very pleasant Bivouac. There are now other climbs on the face ,some are among the hardest free climbs in the Chamonix area.

the stoke was real 1999 bissell hazen about to drop in with thor hosted to the wreck your spleen couloir on our day we named the trilogy. a meter of cold new snow, zero wind. ensa couloir to col du plan then finish it out with the wreck your spleen.
