Photo Beta: Can get some great lens flares when the sun peaks through the right sliver as it's setting.

Tia Stark leading Rubicon from the (in?)direct start - Miramontes Photography. This start was .11 R, and had some great bouldery moves on coarse but good rock. I'd go 3 out of 5 stars for this high-quality headpoint start, and 5 for the entire route.

I bumped/back cleaned gear all the way to below the finger crack because the initial ⎺⎺╷ part is easy. Now my rope is straight! See my beta comment on how to protect follower.

Here's a good example of protecting the traverse. This system had almost no rope drag. There was a piece between the first and second, but it was pulled after the 2nd piece was placed.

One more move, and the redpoint is bagged! Ropedrag at the top was not significant (but I should point out the rope was a dry-coated and almost-new 10.5mm). Note the pro & slings on the approach hand-crack are arranged to try to optimize the drag vs protection trade-off.<br>
