Clearing the crux on East of Eden.
All the pieces I used. You can see all the mid-sized pieces and large nuts. I used a 0.1 Z cam and a small nut to protect the early crux. Lots of great nut constrictions on the route.
The first crux, especially if you're short, is pulling the roof. The second crux is when the wall steepens and the face becomes smooth. The 3rd crux is 2/3rds up and is only a crux if the crack is wet, as it was when we climbed it.
Best route in the area!
For the sake of rope drag and your well-being, toss a red BD nut over the roof.
