Hello,

I am about to climb Denali via WB and I think my top choices are between these two packs, the Osprey Aether Plus 85 Pack and Gregory  Baltoro 85 Pro Pack.

Any first hand experience with these/thoughts? I want to be able to carry a heavy load, be comfortable, and enjoy a long lasting pack for future expeditions.

I am fairly certain I have a the Aether 75 plus that I used for a summer working in CO. I did multiple backpacks with it and continue to use it for backpacking. Compared to my other Osprey pack it has held up better and is way more comfortable than my other 65L osprey pack. I cant speak to the 85L pack but my 75L is comfortable enough that I often do not remove it when resting during backpacks and can cram 1 full bear can plus a 2-person tent and full sleep system in it with plenty of room for clothes and other gear. My favorite feature is the removeable top lid that turns into a day pack since it is big, comfy enough for short peak hikes and is water bladder compatible. Combine that with the osprey warranty and I think it is a great value.

I've been using Ather plus 100. I've used my friend's Baltoro 85 a couple of times. IMO, Osprey is more comfortable.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
