It wouldn't be a brilliant idea, leather has poor tensile strength, gets wet and stretches out, dries out and becomes hard, the chrome tanning makes it an environmental hazard both in production and disposal. If you look closely at wideboys and BD you'll see that the synthetic leather is actually a woven fabric, this makes it consistent, strong, stretch predictably, breathable, and great abrasion resistance.
G7 use PU to reinforce leather and keeps the suede around for comfort, but objectively speaking they'd be better off with a high quality synthetic leather.
Lots of people have made leather crack gloves, I've made some, I've bought some, but there's good reason why non of the big brands do it, and for once it's not price.
