Trump also sent notices to thousands of seasonal workers saying they won’t be hired this year. So there’s a question if national parks can even open this year. They can’t operate without their seasonal workers.

Hi all, I saw that article as well, the nps.gov still has on their website Fed weekends and holidays need a online pass but no posting about online reservation needed this summer?. As far as closing the park do to low amount of man power I do not seeing that happening, Aramark concessions is running the park to the ground but still in open for business right. Happy climbing Mike A.

If it’s like the USFS roadless area here, with no rangers, ATVs will be roaming the wilderness. Armed to head off confrontation from tree huggers.

I doubt Yosemite will close as Charlie postures.
My guess is the park will be an exception at minimum due to the pure fact its a cash cow for gov coffers to support other national parks as they revenue share across the agency.
I know Yosemite put out the signal this year for seasonal climbing "stewards"..... DOGE speed running our country to the bottom though, may mess that all up.

If anyone wants a laugh like I had, go to whitehouse.gov and just look at the meme of a landing page.
Damn hilarious at first, but then the luster of comedy gets worn off, the reality kicks in, and it goes to sad funny.
