Blanks That Mellow Uses?
|
A bit of a boulder bro question and vaguely climbing related, but does anyone know the blanks that mellow uses to make its t shirts? The quality is excellent heavy cotton and the fit is quite nice for someone with climber proportions. I’d love to stock up on a few blank shirts if anyone knows the company that produces them. |

Do they have a tag on the inside of the shirt with the brand name? |
|
I can't speak for the t-shirts, but the hoodies only have a custom "Mellow" tag |

I'm calling it, this topic goes to 20 pages.. |

I thought OP meant "Blunts that mellow users". |

You could ask them but a. I'd be surprised if they tell you b. There is no certainty they buy the same blank white T-shirts every time. A big thing in cotton these days is cotton from western China is supposedly farmed with Uyghur slave labor. It is forbidden to use this source of cotton. But it still finds its way into the supply chain, via shadowy Chinese connections. It becomes virtually impossible to exclude the possibility of Uyghur cotton from any Chinese mfg facility. One way its done is for a brand like Mellow to buy let's sayt Egyptian cotton, have it shipped to the factory in (where ever) and then closely track the consumption of that cotton as t-shirts are cut/sewed. This assures a higher quality and cleaner supply chain. Many, many brands (hundreds, probably thousands actually) do this to one extent or another. Long and short of it, they may be having their own white blanks being made for them, and not buying just any ole t shirt, hence the quality. But if they are having them made, perhaps they'll sell you one! Ask them. Good luck! post edit: I was curious so took a look. I don't think Mellowclimbing is anywhere near big enough to have their own T-shirts manufactured. They say they are
so they are probably buying them. These smaller brands will do drops, ordering just enough T's to do the product drop, and no more. They have them printed, and viola. I see they are out of stock on a lot of stuff, reenforcing the product-drop style. Start up brands often run this way till they build sufficient momentum to have carry-overs from one season (or drop) to the next, I'd still go the route of just asking them. |

The Dancing Robin blanks from Grateful Dyes in colorado are really nice. Thicker cotton and a roomier fit, which is better imo. They get better feeling as they age as well but never start out with the brillo pad feel most gildans etc have https://www.grateful-dyes.com/dancing-robin-premium-adult-crew-neck-t-shirt/ Edit: and theyre $3.80 instead of all this $40 bullshit |
