Not from around the area. How long does the ice take to form "good" up there? Thanks!

In Huntington Ravine? Should be fine now. It is relatively warm right now in New England, but always colder up there, and a significant cooling trend is moving in over the next few days.

In addition to the "is there likely to be ice" question there is also the "am I likely to get avalanched on if I try to climb the ice" question.

Almost all of the lower elevation ice is toast at the moment. Mt Washington will have ice to climb by the weekend but as always it will be dependent on avalanche conditions.  Some of the lower elevation ice may or may not have recovered by the weekend. Only time and eyes on will tell.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
