I'm 87 and have lot's of vintage  climbing gear and guides and books ,etc,. that I should  sell  but do not want to spend the rest my life at the post office or answering questions about them . I plan to donate all funds received .

Does anyone who has done this have suggestions on how to organize and start ?

You could donate the entire lot to the Yosemite Climbing Association.

https://www.yosemiteclimbing.org/

They will figure out what to do with it (perhaps raffle prizes or silent auction for the lot) and some pieces might even make their way into the climbing museum.

Or sell the whole lot on eBay in one shot and donate the proceeds to a charity of your choosing.

I could assist you in either the eBay route or getting a box of stuff out to the YCA in Mariposa.

I’ll take any bongs you might have.
