Hey y’all, a few of my dirtbag friends and I are migrating south to Patagonia on our motorcycles, trying to climb peaks along the way. (Think 180 degrees south). We have experience in the mountains, we have the clothes to stay warm, but we lack some of the gear for glacier travel. Couldn’t fit it in the damn panniers

Currently we are outside of Mexico City and we are looking to climb Izta and pico de orizaba this coming week. We would love it if some fellow local climbers would be down to lend us some strap on crampons for a couple days as well as an axe or two. Or better yet if you have enough gear, come climb with us!

Alsoooooo, if anyone has any recs for sick Latin American peaks to climb, let me know! Me and my buds are game for everything.

my number is four 1 five - 2 seven 2 - nine 1 zero 1

Hit me up!

You can get rent gear in Puebla and Tlachichuca.  La Malinche and Nevado de Toluca are nearby and don't require any crampons.

Lots of fun stuff as you go south.  Nevado de Colima was easy without crampons when I was there a long time ago.  Acatenango in Guatemala is fun, especially if you camp in the saddle between it and Fuego and watch the show.  Celaque in Honduras near Gracias is wonderful.  Lots more to do in Central America, but those are the peaks I did.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
