Smartwool Mountaineer Socks and Boot Sizing

Hello everyone,

I just ordered a pair of La Sportiva G2 evos. They are definitely too big when wearing a thinner smartwool skiing sock, but seem to fit well when tightened and wearing a thicker smartwool mountaineer sock. Should I try and size down to fit in the thinner sock or just wear them with the thicker one?

No, feet tend to swell especially at altitude.
