Wondering what kinds of lube or body fluids would be damaging. Would aramid be a better choice?

How much lube would it take to make a gri gri fail? It would be rope dependent obviously, so let's say 9.8mm. Has hownot2 done a video on this?

Why do you think there’s two pointy ends of your rope, cowboy? If you ain’t been DP’d by your Mammut 9.5, you ain’t lived yet. Mmm hmmm.

Intriguing! Not my cup of tea but for your sake I’d be worried about increasing acidity as it moves up the intestines and closer to the stomach. Perhaps a petroleum-based lubricant would be beneficial for creating a buffer, akin to a Leidenfrost effect. Either way, it’s just environmental common sense to think of ways to reuse gear between our hobbies.

unless you’re a xenomorph, I doubt your fluids are corrosive enough to damage a rope play safe!

Are you talking fizzy old rope with rock grit and cooties in it, against bare skin? Or a brand new, never been used dry rope, all slick and smooth? Are rope burns a concern? Don't go static!! 8mil is thinnner would be better?

Not exactly the same flavor, but I make my own 3d printed LED flow props. Recently, I used a length of 5mm cord that had lived its whole life as my prusik for rappels, and used it to make a pair of Poi leashes for some prototypes I made. It probably slid through a zillion feet of rope in it's prior life on every rappel I ever did, and now it spends most of its free time spun around by wooks at edm shows. PS, I did not clean it; the seasoning of rope dirt gives it a wonderful patina and crunchy feel
