Hi y’all! I’m temporarily living in Riverside and looking to find some partners to climb in JT from now thru 11/25. My schedule is wide open right now, just looking to take advantage of the area while I’m here.

Looks most of JT is trad, but I’ve only ever done one trad climb that was ~5.5.. I enjoy leading sport routes that are lower grade (5.6-5.9). I’ve got my eye on SW corner of Headstone Rock, Mr. Bunny and Poodlephile, etc. Definitely down to follow on some harder climbs too. Most of my experience is in the gym, been on ~10 outdoor sport climbing sessions and I’ve only ever done one trad climb that was ~5.5. However, I take pride in being a safe climber/belayer and I've got my own gear.

Message me if you want to set something up!

Hey Alex, I'd suggest checking out New Jack City instead of Jtree. NJC is all sport climbing and sounds like it would be much more in line with what you'd enjoy with tons more options than Jtree. The drive will be a little longer for you coming from Riverside, but I can't emphasize how much more sport climbing there is at NJC and how much easier it is to access when compared to Jtree.

Hey Alex, I live in north J Tree and there's an a largely undocumented area called Spy Mountain adjacent to Giant Rock that has a couple hundred?? sport routes. I am familiar with the area and would be happy to show you around, shoot me a PM if you want to check it out... Fairview Mountain is another area in the vicinity of New Jack and has close to 400 sport routes, just a bit spread out if you aren't familiar with the area

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
