Routes in Front Range

I’m going to be spending some time in Boulder this winter and looking for routes in the front range (rmnp or Indian peaks) to do solo. I have skis but want to stay clear of avy terrain mainly looking for 4th class or mixed equivalent that I can solo. I don’t mind a long ski in or snow/moderate ice as long as they are safe. Also not looking for overnighters. Thanks!

Colorado has the worst snowpack in the country. We are perpetually yellow in the danger rose. So,  take that into account on any routes you look at it

This is a really broad question that will depend on your skill level. Look around on mountain project and the RMNP guidebook

It's best to wait until spring (i.e. May-June) when the snow consolidates and avy danger goes down.

If it's RMNP, check with the rangers for conditions and recommendations.  Colorado Avalanche Information Center has all of the updates for avalanche conditions for this area.  So far, mid Jan, it pretty earlier in the consolidation cycles for high risk in the front range.  Different story in the San Juans.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
