How to embed GIF

How do you embed a GIF these days? I found a thread from 2015, but I don't think that method works anymore.

Are you guys seeing the GIF too, or just me?

(Method: right click the gif and copy the image link and paste into the forum reply box (no need to use any of the insert image buttons). Add "<img SRC=" in front of the pasted text (don't include the quotations) and then put a closing greater-than bracket at the end. Then post the message. You will still see only the text you pasted and added at this point. Next, click Edit to edit your comment. At this point, you'll see the actual GIF. Don't type anything else. Just click Save Changes. Voila.)
