Hey all, I'm planning a trip to El Potrero Chico and was curious as to what everyone does for baggage? All the flights ive looked at from MCO - > MTY have carry-on listed as the only baggage (besides personal item i suppose). Not sure how possible it would be to fit 70m of rope, a harness, helmet, quickdraws, etc in a small carry-on. Also any recommendations for the area would be great. Thanks!

You can check like luggage but you will definitely pay for it.

Check a bag - its worth it. I brought my draws on the plane and Mexico international airport (connection flight) did not like them, but did let me through after a thorough inspection.

Ive had good luck traveling with rope and other gear as carry on to EPC.   Sometimes i bring the rope and some clothes in a rope bag as my personal item.  Security has gotten way more familiar with rock climbing gear. I brought a triple rack to moab as carry on with no problem.
