Any recommendations? I feel like I'm the only person in the world that prefers a more tapered/slim fit hiking pants. Everything is super bootcut/boxy cut.

My favourite pants in terms of material is the OR Ferossi , but their cut/fit is just too boxy for me. Another bonus point is if they made a 28 inch inseam.

Thanks!

I’ve got chicken legs too and love the Rab pants they have a specific slim fit that is tapered

Prana has a 28" inseam Zion pant in a "straight" cut that's slimmer than their usual. I'd consider it a smidge roomier than skinny.

Arc'teryx Gamma fit me really well (tall and skinny-legged). They're my favorite cool-weather hiking/climbing pants. I would consider them to be slim fit. I'm on the ground here offering a problematic belay.

Rab makes several very trim pants - the ascender light and incline light come to mind

Vouri makes some good ones.

Seconding the Arc gamma. To me they’re kind of mid-slim—like a slim straight cut, not too tapered.

Prana makes the Zion in a slim cut, or at least they used to. Those things are way tapered. Too skinny for my preferences, but maybe worth looking at for the OP.

The Patagonia Terravia are—I just tried them on briefly once, so I could be remembering incorrectly—perhaps slimmer than the gamma and not as tapered as the Pranas.

The Gammas are too expensive, but I justify them because they are really really good.

I have to knock the Prana Zions specifically- I’ve found their quality to be substantially worse than a few years ago. The first few pairs I bought late 2019ish lasted years of general use and climbing wear, however the pairs that I’ve purchased recently don’t even last a year before developing major holes in both the knees and buttocks. I’ve been looking for an alternative

I refuse to buy arcteryx because i think they are way beyond overpriced. That's what I tell myself at least (reality is I'm just poor lol).

Have you looked at Kuhl?
