Looking for climbing partners near Fresno, CA

Hello,

I’m looking for someone to climb with on weekends on random weekdays. I’m an intermediate climber who is interested in outdoor climbing and learning more techniques. I’m looking for a chill community of climbers in the Fresno area. 

Hey, not sure if you’re aware but there’s a climbing gym in Fresno where you can meet people to climb with outdoors at either courtright, Fresno dome, shuteye, Yosemite or sequoia. Who knows, maybe we’ll run into each other one day when I’m back from vacation. 

I’ve been to Metalmark but most people don’t seem to want to talk or haven’t climbed outdoors. I’ve only been a couple of times so maybe I just haven’t met the right people

I agree with Mike.  Maybe try bouldering around and ask someone to rope up with you. 

I'm in Fresno and primarily an outdoor trad climber.  Have only been to MetalMark a couple of times. Been climbing since 2015, but have really been free climbing much the last several years. Recently been training for a big wall.

Have you climbed outdoors before or mainly just indoors? Boulder, trad, or sport? 

I’ve top roped outside and bouldered outside. I don’t do much indoor climbing and would like a climb more often and get better.

Maybe we can try to get a social cragging day organized up at Courtright Reservoir one of these days. Tiger Cage area is a good cragging spot.
