Hi all,

One more dumb question: For Lumpy Ridge, Do I need a Timed Entry Pass? Or any specific pass? Thanks for any info!~

(and GLD, I did try to look online, could not find info on specifically Lumpy. lol)

Yes, but the window outside of Bear Lake Road is 9 am to 2 pm, so it’s very easy to get there before it starts for the day. Bear Lake Road starts at 5 am, so you need to be up very early. You’ll need a park pass as well.

Thanks, so if we show up at Lumpy before 9, can we just stroll on in?......... I have a general NP Park Pass.

Lumpy Ridge does not have car entry gates and no passes are ever checked even though it is part of RMNP.

Is this true? Going to lumpy in a couple weeks! Definitely planning to get there before 9 AM but don’t have a parks pass yet

Technically yes, you need a parks pass and timed entry between 9-2. However I have only seen a ranger once at the trailhead hanging with the volunteers that are there. Otherwise, in many trips I have only seen the volunteers at the trailhead. (They don't ask for passes, just give out info.)

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
