Sizing mythos

I'm considering mythos for some big walling and alpine climbs and like them to fit my feet plus some socks.  Brand new would you purchase them in your shoe size?  I guess I have a mentality that if you buy the shoe already in your regular size then they won't stretch :)

I sized my method a full two sizes down from my street shoes - they were stiff at first, but the leather stretches and they quickly became a pair of shoes that I could wear on all day alpine routes. I'd size for the stretch.

I love Mythos… for what now 24 years??
I have no experience with the new ones.
The old ones would stretch out a lot. I would buy the smallest shoe I could get on my foot. Make sure the laces are as loose as you can make them…. If you can get it on your foot- lengthwise- and keep it on for like 5 minutes.

I have no experience with the new ones.

I wear mythos in 43.5, comfort fit without socks when new, can fit a thin sock once they break in.

44.5-45 in TX2s, bushidos, and Nepals, 42.5-43 performance fit in la sportiva climbing shoes

I wear Mythos in 44; 44.5 is ideal for with socks.  "Shoe size" (I presume you mean "street shoe size") doesn't mean anything as every street shoe is different as well.

Size squirrel(.com) will help you more here.  For comparison, I'm 44 in Mythos; 45 in TC Pro; 10.5 in Oasi; 11 in Masai.

Mythos stretch a lot, and stretch quickly.  New from the box they are tight but bearable.  After two or three sessions they are all day comfortable.

Don’t underestimate how much they’ll stretch. It’s actually ridiculous. I’m a 37 in mythos and a 39.5 in skwama/miura.

the smallest possible pair you can put on. They will stretch to comfy no matter how tight you get them

Yes.

My street size is womans 8

My Mythos size is 36.5 or US 5.5, I've had 4 pairs over the years, sizing doesn't seem to have changed.

By comparison my Katana laces are 39.5 = US 8 and my Kataki lace are 39 = US 7.5.  Once the Mythos break in they are my all day comfy shoe.

Mythos should be sized way down, yes even if for their intended purpose of being the comfy multi shoes with thick socks.

Mythos 39 (comfy)
Katana laces 40 (sendy)
Street shoes womens 9 = mens 7.5
mountain boots 42
ski boots 26

Mythos: 42.5

Everything else: 44

The leather is very soft, and it stretches and molds to your feet very readily.

Try them on in a couple sizes, even if that means ordering a few pair and sending all but one pair back.

This is how you want to size a shoe for alpine or all day comfort.

You want the outside length of the shoe to be tha same length as your foot . Basically take the shoe put it against your foot and they should be the same length. That way the inside will be about 1,5 sizes smaller than your foot.

Ignore the size on the shoe. A 40 in Mythos is the same length as a 42 in tcPro

I size mine 2 sizes down and I can still wear fine socks with it if needed.
been using them for alpine since forever (+ 30 years).

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
