Inner Middle Elbow Pain (advice needed)

Hey everyone,

Thanks for taking the time to read this. I've been climbing for 6 years but took a 1.5-year break due to elbow issues. I've been back climbing for 7 months now, and unfortunately, my elbow problems are starting to reappear. I'm hoping to get some help figuring out what might be causing this.

The pain in my elbow is located in the middle of my inner elbow and doesn't seem to fit the typical descriptions of tennis or golfer's elbow. It's more of a generalized pain, making it hard to pinpoint a specific area. It's not tender to the touch but feels similar to elbow soreness from baseball.

The pain gets worse when I climb frequently especially on overhanging routes. Despite resting and attempting treatments for tennis/golfer's elbow, I'm still dealing with the same issue.

I would really appreciate any advice or insights if anyone has experienced something similar. Thanks in advance!

Have you dug into bicep distal tendon inspired elbow pain? I was having pain from both, seem to be getting past them but its been about 8 months of different exercises and therapies. Overhangs tend to aggravate my biceps more.

Rest WILL NOT fix elbow tendinitis. The basis of tendinitis is muscles imbalance + over use. You have to actively fix it.

How many push ups do you do? How much forearm stretching? How is your shoulder mobility?
