Issue with photos for newly added routes: always stuck on "Loading..." (for both me and others)

A friend of mine added this route to Mountain Project two days ago, and I added some photos to it. However, it's not possible to actually view the images, with the browser always being stuck on "Loading...". My friend is having the same issue when attempting to see the photos in his browser. There seems to be at least one other user who is having the same issue.

The images for this route also do not show up in the "What's New" section, and because I cannot view the photos I also cannot delete one of the photos that I must have accidentally added twice.

The route itself does not show up in the mobile app either (I updated it just now).

Thanks for flagging, Philipp. This touches a few things that I'll try to provide answers for below:

  • The route page not loading photos looks like a bug. There's a ticket for that so hopefully we can get that sorted soon.
  • This is also likely related to the photos not showing in the What's New section
  • The new route is waiting for admin approval, so once that happens it'll be included in the next California data update in the app (these updates usually happen at the end of each week with anything that was approved since the last update)

I'll follow up when I learn more!

Thank you Zander! I figured that the route not being on the app yet wasn't really related, but thought I'd include it just in case. Thanks for the explanation!
