Hot Head Helmet Recommendations?

I currently use a BD Captain MIPS helmet and like it, but feel as though it's making me overheat especially on the warmer days (I'm drenched within a couple minutes). I like and want to wear a helmet when climbing, but its gotten to the point where I've considered not wearing it. Looking for recommendations from those who may have a similar issue. From some research it seems people like the Petzl Meteor. Any suggestions are appreciated!

I find my Mammut Wall Rider to have good ventilation. I am also an aggressive sweater. Have you tried to wear an athletic headband to at least control where the sweat is flowing? I know that heavy sweat on my face and in my eyes can be a massive distraction, especially when sunscreen is involved!

I'm a hothead too, and think you're gonna sweat badly in any helmet.  That said, in my experience the BD Vapor is the most ventilated and so the coolest of a lot---which isn't really ever going to be all that cool.

There's something I do to keep the sweat from pouring down my face and into my eyes, which is to swap out the minimal brow pad for a beefy sweat-absorbing helmet liner.  Since even these bad boys become saturated, I usually carry three or so for a hot day.  The ones I have are made by SweatHawg and are their X2 variety, which are double thickness.  They no longer seem to make a brow piece though, and I'm not a fan of their replacement, which incorporates a skull cap.  But there are lots of options on the internet.  A bonus is the helmet is more comfortable with an extra-cushy brow piece.

Thanks for the inputs, I have not thought about wearing a headband! I'll have to try it out and check out the brow pads.

Natural fibres will keep you comfier, thicker headbands will absorb more sweat and if you stick with cotton should stay nice and cool.

Cotton will keep you cooler in the heat and provide a good heat sink once saturated. If the weather turns, simply take it off.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
