Hi all!

I’m an east coast climber and do lead both indoor and out! I hover around the 5.10 skill ability range and have only done single pitch climbs. I’m heading to Vegas for a friends baby shower in October but really want to get a cool climbing experience in while I’m out there. I won’t have any climbing buddies with me though. Does anyone have recommendations on  guides or companies I can look into to do some cool climbing with? I was thinking of Red Rock Canyon. It’d be cool to experience a multi pitch climb but I’m not 100% that it’d be an option since I have no experience with it. I’m open to suggestions!

Thanks!

Thomas Gilmore with Mountain Skills or Ross Ericson with the mountain guides are both awesome.

In a fraction of the time and word count, you could have Googled [rock climbing guides red rocks nevada] and got these results:

https://www.google.com/search?q=rock+climbing+guides+red+rocks+nevada&newwindow=1&client=firefox-b-1-d&sca_upv=1&oq=rock+climbing+Guides+near+Vegas

No need to be sassy. I have in fact already looked at lots of options and was hoping to get recommendations from people who have used the companies in that area. Taking suggestions from others might be foreign to you but I like to do so when at all possible.

Maybe she wanted some advice based on personal experience instead of raw search results.

I also seriously doubt she needs your instruction on how to Google something.

Big plug for Ross Erickson. Dude knows his shit and knows how to show people a good time!

You don't need experience to do a multipitch with a guide; that's kind of the point!

Mountain Skills Guides, Thomas and Jake are great people and can show you a great time. They both know the area intimately and are super fun to climb with.

I don't remember who it was with but I was out in vegas for a few days for work years ago so was busy during the day and was able to find a guide who went out at night to do some multipitch climbing and it was great views of the city. Most of the time guides love finding real climbers to go climbing with. They normally end up with people who can barely do 5.7 outdoor so they will love to climb with you and multipitch should be no issue even if you have never done one.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
