Overnight parking Maple Canyon?

Hello, 

I wanted to hike in to the upper part of Maple Canyon and setup my tent. What are the rules for overnight parking in the lower part of the canyon? (Box Canyon, before the national forest area) The national forest area has signs that say "Day Use Only", but I didn't see any signs for Box Canyon. I have a 2wd sedan. I'm not sure how far the car can drive past the Right Fork Trailhead before it gets too rough.

I don't know if there is a forest service policy. My own experience is that you won't have any problems if you pay the fee and park overnight at one of larger parking areas near the restrooms or at the right-hand fork trailhead. The campground hosts, Chuck and Maggie, are super helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to ask them.
