[Requesting Feedback] Crimpdle - Guess the Grade
|
Hi all, I'm a coder by day and a climber by night/weekend. During my rest days I've been working on a fun little climbing game called Crimpdle. Inspired by Wordle and Guess the Grade, the aim of the game is to guess the grade of a boulder based on a video clip (indoors and outdoors). The purpose of Crimpdle is purely to have fun and see how boulder grades are perceived around the world. I’m really excited about this project and hope it can add a bit of joy to your day. I value feedback from the climbing community and have been shaping the game based on the direction provided by fellow climbers. If you have any improvement ideas, critiques, or any other feedback, I’d be more than delighted to chat about it! Thanks for your time, and happy climbing! come check it out here: www.crimpdle.com |

Looks fun. One possible difficulty for users I can think of is the variance in grading systems between gyms… |

Do you control for the appearance of the person climbing the routes? If I see gumby rocking pristine TC Pros and a Miguel's t-shirt topping out the route there's no way I'm rating it above a V3, but if a skinny dirtbag with a beanie is letting out war cries I know that shit is at least a V8. |

Anna Brown wrote: Hi @Anna thanks for checking it out, this was very helpful! I just released a minor update which should hopefully fix this issue. If you get a chance I'd love for you to take another look! @Matt S It would be fun to have people wear rental shoes and submit a hard climb! Like Magnus's gumby disguises |
