Climbing overalls

This is my annual attempt to see if anyone in the world has found a good pair of thin summer overalls yet for climbing. In a perfect world Patagonia would just expand their terravia pants up to my shoulders, Mikey if you’re reading this please for the love of God pass this along. Pants don’t sag, no belt needed, chest pocket, what’s not to love! If anyone has a good pair they’ve found that’s not canvas or thick pass em along!

Kavu overalls

Women’s fit and no chest pocket but otherwise close to what you’re after.

I have some men’s Kavu overalls that are thin and breathable; I believe they even have a chest pocket?

I’ve been too scared to climb in them, as I have a habit of wrecking the clothes I climb in and I don’t know how they’d hold up

Hey Camdon, hope you’re well and crushing…
BITD, in the mid 90’s, I got a pair of merino wool, below-the-knee knickers (maybe they call them capri’s now) that had suspenders, a cargo pocket on one thigh, and a chest pocket. Shout out to Gear Revival, a used gear store in Jackson Hole that’s long gone, RIP. Everytone called them “lederhosen”, but they weren’t leather… They were very very Euro styled, with bright colored nylon patches over the knees and ass. I got SO much flack from everyone for wearing that getup, but it was my absolute favorite for summer climbing in the Tetons. If I could find something like that again, I’d get it.
No belt needed, they never felt saggy, breathable.

I get it that you like overalls, good luck in your search…

These are more of a work-clothes brand, but check them out, they might be just fine for cooler weather cragging?   duluthtrading.com/mens-dirt…?

My wife does her gym sessions in her Kavu overalls sometimes and they have held up really well. Probably won’t wear them on rock because she likes them too much but she says they are really breathable and move well for indoor bouldering.

These keep getting advertised to me on Instagram. Might fit the bill.

I just bought these from Duluth. Nylon/spandex so quick-dry, durable, light, and stretchy.  Zipper pockets at the chest and thigh.  They're pretty roomy though, but maybe some will like that.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
